Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, of course! I really believe that engagement sessions are the best way for us to get to know each other in order for you to have the best experience possible. Think of it like your rehearsal dinner, it helps make sure everything goes smoothly on your wedding day. That's why I include a complimentary session in every package I offer! Check out more about what to expect HERE.
Do we get to keep all of our images, or is that extra? How many images will you shoot on a wedding day?
How many photos are taken during the day depends on a few things: the amount of decorative details, family photos, if you have a second shooter, and the length of your wedding. The average wedding usually produces between 400 and 800 images (not including engagement photos) for 6-8 hours with one photographer. And YES, you will get all of your images ready to print no matter what package you get. I try to keep my services as simple and as easy to understand easy as possible.
Do you travel for weddings, if so, how far?
I do, I will pretty much go as far as you want to fly me!
Do you offer a second photographer? What are the benefits?
Yes, some packages include a second shooter, otherwise you can add hours of second shooter a la carte. Having a second shooter is such a wonderful addition. Although I work my hardest to get everything, there are just some things I just can't do at the same time: cocktail hour, groom getting ready, help with organizing family photos, and different angles of your wedding day. On top of all of that, having another set of eyes with me always helps boost creativity and relieve stress. I carefully choose my second shooters that I feel share my style and vision for photography and I personally edit all of their photos to seamlessly match the rest of your photos.
Do you edit all the photos?
Of course, I want you to love your images!
Do you shoot anything besides weddings?
A lot of my clients end up becoming family photo clients after the wedding, which i love. Having said that I am not limited I just previous clients, I am happy to hear about your family. Here is my family photo page!
take a select number of High School Seniors each year, you can check out that page HERE
How far out do you book weddings?
I book up to 18 months in advance. But the average is 8-10 months (earlier the better for dates and prices)
We don't want traditional (very posed) photos, how would you describe your style?
I get this question a lot, and I understand why: you don't want your wedding day to feel forced and unnatural, and I completely agree! To the best of my ability, I like to take a more candid and photojournalistic approach to your photos. Even the photos that are posed, I try to make more relaxed in order to bring out more genuine and realistic expressions.
What if you get sick on our wedding day?!
Let's put it this way, unless I am in the hospital or physically cannot move, I will be there! But just in case I am unable to make it due to circumstances beyond my control, I have a wonderful network of professionals that I can call to replace me.
What if it rains or the weather is bad?
I have experience shooting in all kinds of weather. Cold, hot, windy, or raining, I am prepared to handle whatever comes our way and still provide creative and beautiful images of your day. I always have a rain plan if the weather is a concern.
Will you shoot LGBT events?
YES! Love is love!
What kind of albums do you offer?
I use: Miller's Lab. I love this company because I know their process to make these books insures that they are going to really last! Miller's have a variety of unique cover styles with sturdy, flush mount pages. Wedding album sizes are available in 8x10, or 10x10. I also offer parent books or sign in books from a different company.
Do you have business insurance if anything happens?
Of course, all of my equipment is covered under insurance.
Is this your full time job?
Yes! All of my time goes towards bettering my skills and service to my clients!
Can I see the photos from an entire wedding that you've done?
I would be glad to send you a link to one of my galleries from a previous wedding. Just let me know when you contact me, that you are interested in seeing a full gallery.
What kind of clients do you work best with?
I know this may sound silly, but I believe it is really important that you feel a connection with whomever photographs your wedding. Three things come to mind 1. Couples who have a lot of fun together and are excited about their photo experience. Adventures are my favorite! 2. Couples who want a more relaxed and classic, yet creative approach to their photography. 3 Couples that see the value of their wedding photos, and trust me to adequately represent them and their day for future generations to enjoy.
Do you have any suggestions for other vendors?
Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming and I would be glad to help in any way I can, so if you are looking for other great vendors, just ask, I know WAY too much! I will share with you who I know, what to look out for, and where to find great service.
