As the New Year is upon us, I thought I should at start it off by appreciating all of the wonderful moments from last year! So here are some of my favorite shots!!! These were just top of mind, so, if you don't see something in there, just know there were too many to pick from and I love you all!
VIRTUE SALON BRIDAL SHOOT
This was so much fun and my first bridal photoshoot. Hair and makeup by Jessica P from Virtue Salon
We got all the bridesmaids on the bed for this shot and then they individually took turns laughing and jumping on the bed with the bride..too much fun! Then for portraits, we had the most perfect Spring trees blooming!!
I fell in love with a few wedding dresses this year, but overall bridal look/dress has to go this girl.. I mean, silk, lace, cutouts, and that vintage hair..it was stunning and I loved getting to photograph her. This cake shot made the list because it began my obsession with getting the perfect cake shot :) What can I say, I love food!
I just loved how elegant this shot was and how the lines and the light keep your attention. Super cute couple so if you haven't checked out their wedding, you can click the link above! We had so much fun during their engagement session. The weather wasn't promising, but they trusted me and we ended up driving around downtown Columbus parking illegally and jumping out at different locations. This was our last shot of the day and my absolute favorite!!!
It's always an honor to be chosen by another photographer to be trusted to photograph them, especially on their wedding day!
The energy of this wedding was contagious. I have never been to an all day wedding that literally did not have a dull moment in it! Their love is so sweet and their care for their friends and family was inspiring. Also, doesn't this look like it's at Hogwarts (I know, I'm a nerd!)
ALLY'S SENIOR PHOTOSHOOT IN FRANKLINTON
How could you not love this girl? Look at her!
This was one of the best parties all year-plus a gorgeous couple and venue! Oh, and did I mention shooting from a rooftop downtown!
Simply said, Kelsey is one of my oldest friends, so naturally, shooting her wedding was wonderful and she looked radiant with her new groom.
Since I was young, growing up in Columbus, I have always loved the look of the Le Veque tower. It is a Columbus icon and getting to finally get inside and take photographs was so much fun for me! A big thanks to Megan for getting us in!
MY FIRST BAR MITZVAH
It's always fun and interesting to me to learn about new cultures and celebrations,.
LIZ & ADAM'S ENGAGEMENT
Some couples just have that extra dose of cuteness!!
After over a decade of being together, they finally got the wedding they deserved! To top it off, they got to share it with their friends, family, and adorable little boy! When I see their first dance photo,s, I can still here the Sarah McLachlan song playing with that feeling like no one existed but the two of them in that moment.
Not only was it sweet to see these two finally tie the knot, but I got to learn about some new Iranian wedding traditions and meet some amazing family. One of them being her Grandfather, who was a famous photographer back in Iran. Some people, you can just tell, have seen and been through so much that you wish you could sit down and just listen to their story.
Even though I had shot inside the stadium before, it was a first to photograph this couple ON the ice! They are huge hockey fans, so slipping around in my sneakers on the rink was pretty fun! Check out their session if you didn't get a chance!
CROSSED TWO MORE ITEMS OFF MY PHOTOGRAPHY BUCKET LIST
-Vintage Car Engagement Session and -Rowboat Engagement session
During a styled shoot at Lacquer, I got this adorable shot! Gotta love that neon sign!
TOMMI & LINDA'S SHORT NORTH ENGAGEMENT
Since I started photographing, I have always wanted the chance to photograph Linda, she is just a vibrant and beautiful person, and her and Tommi are perfect together! The graphic elements in their images fit perfectly for Linda, since she is a graphic designer!
ADRIANA & YVENER
This shoot was so special to me for a couple reasons: 1. I don't get to visit with my friend that often, so when I do, it is always wonderful, and 2. This session means that Yvener got his visa to come to the US to marry Adriana! 3. They are irresistibly cute together. Looking forward to their wedding in March!
MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SHOT IN THE STUDIO
This family means a lot to me personally, and in my business. This little girl's Dad recently deployed and this was a gift for him.. I photographed her parent's wedding and subsequently everything after that, including these shots. How could you resist the look of a kid's first candycane!!!
Last but not least:
ALLI & BEN'S WINTER WEDDING
I consider my clients like I would a friend, and in this case, I would definitely say Alli and I are. She shared with me that her grandmother was sick a few months before the wedding and wasn't sure she was going to be there or not. We were all so blessed to have her there and as for me, I was just lucky enough to capture these moments for them! I have also always wanted to photograph a wedding at this church because this is where my grandparents got married, so hurray for another check off my list!
A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WAS A PART OF 2015 BEING MY BEST YEAR YET!!!!!
I would be remiss without including the love, support, and photography from my fiance Tim! Sharing my passion with you has been amazing, I love you!
