Being a Halloween baby and a lover of styling makeup and costumes, this shoot was SO much fun for me! Sharing it with two awesome ladies that shared my enthusiasm was icing on the (birthday) cake. I hope you all enjoy the last taste of Halloween before diving into the Christmas madness!

If you are like most people, you don't typically have to pick from a hundred or hundreds of photos in order to create a photo album. Since this is something that most of my clients purchase with their photos, I wanted to share these four simple tips.
Hands down one of the best celebrations I have witnessed! Maggie & George spared nothing to ensure their wedding day included all of the people they love so much- friends and family from all over came to the Hilton Netherlands in Cincinnati to celebrate the joining of these two people. This was my first completely Jewish ceremony and it did not disappoint. I love learning new traditions and how they differ and are similar to each other.
If anyone knows these two, they know these three things: 1. They don't settle: with their wedding day or with their choice of partner! 2. The people they choose to surround themselves with and their families are of the utmost importance to them. 3. They ADORE each other and are best friends. Knowing all of this, it is no surprise to me that for years to come people will be talking about this day!
We may have ended the session with frozen fingers, but it wasn't due to the lack of warmth between these two people. Since they booked over the phone, the Audubon Park was the first place we all actually got to meet. Right away I felt an ease with them, I loved Brittany's choice to wear a red dress (especially in March with everything not quite blooming and still frosted from winter) and I could tell they had so much respect for one another. When I asked them what they love about their relationship, they both said they appreciated the other's loyalty. We started off our session with a little something to keep them warm, my favorite, tea by the water.
After talking with these two over FaceTime I knew we had to make their session very natural and fun, as if I was witnessing a real date and just happen to get some photos along the way. If you are from anywhere near my hometown (and theirs) you probably know about Stauf's Coffee on Grandview Avenue. In school, this was a frequent spot for my couple and I thought it would make a great location for their time with me this week. Nostalgia always wins for me when it comes to location ideas. I am so glad Lauren & Andrew were able to make it to Columbus (from Chicago) for us to get a little practice in before the Spring!
It's not too often I get the request to capture cat families, but when Kristin & Harmon invited me to their home to start their session with their five (yes, five) kitties, I was in for the adventure. These two have a unique kind of love and style that makes them so much fun to hang out with. Anytime a couple is comfortable with each other, it makes my job so easy..they laugh like I'm not there and don't shy away from snuggling up in front of the camera. I was expecting the cats, but what I didn't know was Kristin had set up an whole studio for us to shoot in their basement-eccentric and very them..and it was perfect. The more you get into personalizing your session, the more comfortable you are and the more personal the images feel.
When someone has been your best friend for as long as Molly has been, you find yourself somewhere between "words are not enough" and "I've said it all before" It's hard to think anyone deserves the people you are closest too, but these two are equally deserving of the other and these images definitely show that! Getting to go to Denver for this session has been a dream of mine, and I can't wait to share some of my favorites!!!
I am very lucky to say I have some of the most joyful and amazing couples that I get to photograph every year. Liz & Adam are for sure one of them, as I know you will see in their images! They're playful and sweet energy is infectious and their wedding day was full of excitement and overwhelming support. Liz's Mom was there to walk her down the isle, Grandmas and Grandpas were kissed, ladies were twirled and everyone had an amazing time celebrating and eating delicious food in this super cool venue. Take a little peak into their perfect day, it was so hard to narrow it down!
I'm not sure what I do to bring me the best clients, but it happens, and Laurel & Ian are one of those couples. Truth be told, they knew another one of my awesome couples, and I am so glad because I had so much fun spending time with them.
It was already pretty hot (I know, how dare I say hot in Ohio!) not to mention humid, but they didn't let that stop them from enjoying our time. We got to wonder around the conservatory, which is so beautiful, and then we ended our session walking around the grounds of the garden. I love this since their wedding will be here in September at the new barn! Check
I got in contact with Angela through another bride (thank you!) and I had so much fun exploring OSU campus with them. Since Matt and Angela met in college there, they thought it would be the perfect place to go to celebrate this next step in their life. Their adorable pup Mila joined us at the lake and then we headed to the OSU Shoe where we got to get on the field and take over for an hour! We had way too much fun, which I think you will see.
