I have been accused,
more than once, of being a "Daddy's Girl" and I own that title with pride. This might be why I love doing a Father Daughter First Look. It has been popular the past couple of years in the wedding business to do a first looks with the bride and groom before the wedding, and although I love that too, this post isn't about that (save that for another day). It is HARD (I can only imagine) to give a daughter away on her wedding day, even to a good man, so if there is anything that can make that day a little more special for those Dad's out there, I think it is a wonderful thing.
For those of you who are wondering what the heck a "first look" is, it is basically a purposefully set up moment for the father (or groom) to see the bride for the first time in her dress. I set up the man and then have the bride come up behind them and surprise them. This moment is so sweet and I just love it! I wish I would have thought of this at my wedding..yet another way I fell short on my wedding day haha (darn you Pinterest).
And these shots are from this weekend :) He claimed he wasn't going to cry, but I am happy to say, once he saw his little girl in her dress, the waterworks came out, such a sweet moment!
I hope all of you Dad's out there had a wonderful Father's Day, it is hard to be a good Dad, and I am grateful to all of the good one's out there!
