Makeup is something that I am sad to say, just wasn't on my radar for most of my life. I just recently, since getting into wedding photography, have learned to love the beauty of well done makeup. Maybe I was just viewing makeup as something that would hide your natural beauty and add more time to the morning routine..But what I have learned is, makeup is truly there to do two things: 1. Bring out your natural beauty and enhance the features you already have, and 2. Allow you to express yourself. Now I am not going to lie, I love me some crazy colors and edgy makeup every once in a while, but on a wedding day, or for senior pictures (anything that is a milestone), makeup looks best when it is natural. The amazing team at Virtue Salon in Clintonville not only does hair, they also recently added makeup services! This place is a one stop beauty shop. The line they carry is called Mukha, an amazing 100% mineral based product line, free of oil, alcohol, and talc...and of course, vegan. I really wanted to share this information with my clients and blog followers because I truly believe in these services 100%. To demonstrate what to expect when getting a basic makeup application at the salon, I had my friend Alexa be a model and go through the experience herself.
Saved the best for last!
