Hello, I'm Angela!

What's there to know about me? Well, for starters, I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and graduated 2011 from Columbus College of Art and Design. I'm curious by nature and love explorations (both metaphysical & physical) My dreams are to travel with my husband, eat delicious food (as hot as it comes), and of course empower and photograph people from all walks of life!

Photography has been a big part of my life ever since high school, a way to connect, explore ideas and be creative with those around me. Now, over a decade later, it has become my life, my full time job, and my passion. It has never been about the newest equipment or photography itself, but always about the art, where photography can take me and where I can take the people that view my images (especially the ones in them!). This medium continues to stretch and inspire me.

As a kid, I didn’t fit into many boxes besides “weird”, I was the one that would pick up trash and say “I can make something out of this!”, the one that could spend hours at the pool floating underwater looking at the sun because the light was mesmerizing. I was the girl that would rather play with rocks and crystals than toys and clothes. I have dealt with shifts in my weight and bullying, spent years hating myself and my body, spent more years undoing all the crap people told me about who I was supposed to be and what was “acceptable”. Now, I am so proud to say I am me..that my body is my own and that no one will ever make me fit into a box again. Knowing what I know now, I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to never succumb to anyone’s standards but my own. Sharing this insight, compassion, and light with the world through my art and my life is my intention and my purpose.
